Rick Johnson, MPP Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock, has been named parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Infrastructure, Premier Dalton McGuinty announced today. "I'm honoured to have been chosen for this role," said Johnson.

A Little Bob Lake resident has won his fight to have a public access point to Gull Lake reopened. Brian Weston made a presentation to Minden Hills council at an Aug. 26 meeting explaining that an access point to Gull Lake he and his wife have traditionally used had been blocked off.
